Gender Responsive Budgeting Initiative

The Government Expressed support for gender-responsive
budgeting in the draft of the full Poverty Reduction Strategy
(PRSP) where it states that “In the longer term, the government
will support the use of gender sensitive budgeting (GSB)
in analyzing the federal and provincial government budgets
to determine the extent to which resources are allocated
to address gender inequality. This will not only improve
women’s status but will also contribute to national, social
and economic development of the country”.
